Marc's Board Shop will be the official sponsor of the "Beast of the East" Award at the 3rd Annual Dixie Cup Slalom race in Statesville NC on November 2-4 2007 . The award will be given to the fastest East Coast amateur slalom racer at the Dixie Cup event. The award will be a nice trophy and $100 cash for the fastest racer. Only amateur skateboarders will be eligible and they have to be from the East Coast. In most races , the pros from California take home all the prizes. The "Beast of the East" award should attract more racers from the East Coast.
